LONGEVITY

PALADIN x THE FINAL BOSSES

2021

A local delight that moulded my childhood, the Ang Ku Kueh (literally means red tortoise cake) is often used to signify longevity, auspiciousness, wealth, and completeness. The red in Chinese traditions symbolises happiness. My design brings a modern twist

to this traditional snack, hoping to appeal to younger generations to preserve our heritage; to bring longevity to our traditions.

Influenced by the PALADIN's principle to protect the innocent and uphold the law, PALADIN by TheFinalBosses aims to use art pieces as an avenue to shed light on the topic of bullying, #designedforapurpose.

PALADIN was exhibited at Gilman Barracks from 11th - 27th June 2021 with guest artists such as Stone for Gold and RSCLS, and its sequel at Plaza Singapura from 15th Aug - 27th Sep 2021 featuring veteran artist Mr. Koeh Sia Yong.
