“Selecting the right set of paper requires us to feel the grains and textures more than what our eyes can see. The physical contact required can not be easily replaced by technology. Similarly, just like our relationships between our loved ones and peers, virtual calls can not replace physical interactions. 

 

Due to the pandemic, many of us are unable to physically meet many of our loved ones, and the only option was to rely on technology to virutally meet each other. 

 

The circles all over the calendar is a play on the chinese word for Reunion (tuan yuan), and it expresses my hopes for the new year that we would finally be with all our loved ones again.”
